July 2009, pencil, model : Kenzo. I tried before to sketch our Newfounlanderdog, but because of his thick fur you can't see much of his bonestructure, which makes it not easy to draw him. Maybe I should use other material, like paint, or use more light and dark, or colourpencils.
This kind of sketches shows a that I should start to abandon the linear sketching. Here its limitations are clear.

Wat een schattige hond hebben jullie!!! Bij ons zou hij wel graag in de bovenbeek zwemmen. En ik vind het ook moeilijk om onze hond te tekenen.
