What the art critic said...
At the end of the schoolyear a famous artcritic comes around to juge our work. I made a selection of works of which I thought they would make any impression. Works where I left my own traditional style. The critic watched a few minutes and said : "Were you forced to do these works ?" I had to admit that this was correct. I wasn't really forced to do them in a certain style but they were drawingtasks were I left my own style. I felt it pretty impressive that this artconnaisseur, not knowing my work, noticed this. He told us his theory about beeing and staying yourself when showing your work. "Even professionals" he said "make this mistake". "Never make work to please the audience". Of course you have to be open minded about new evolutions, but in general you better stick to your style and let it make his own way. Something to remember for the future.

Welcome to the DSFDF challenge. Your guy really looks like he's relaxing. Nice job!
I checked the rest of your blog. I really like your figure drawings of the female models!
Thanks Carol. I love these challenges, although I haven't much paintingexperience. I'm into drawing for the next few years. After I have enough drawingskills I want to learn about paintingtechniques.
