December 2008, acryl, pencil. On the differentstrokesfromdifferentfolks page we draw/paint eachother's portrait as a kind of New Year's gift. The folks we're mixed to couples. We didn't know who we were drawing untill the results were published, which made it a very mysterious challenge this time. :-)
The full light on the face of the reference photo made it extra difficult for me.
I have little experience drawing portraits, but working on this pieces learned me a lot (as all the challenges did before).
There's an acryl version and a drawn version, which I think is the best one.
Hope the lady likes what I did.

I like them both. I love the acrylic for the bright colors and I like the drawing because it is unique! I'm glad you did this challenge. This was my first for DSFDF.

Luc, You've improved a lot. I love your acrylic piece well done. I like the choice of background for the pencil one. Hope to see you in the next challenge.

I still must start the Jefferson piece. I had a very busy week at work. This weekend I will give it a (starting)shot. :-)
